Functional Description

Bently Nevada 3500/94 is a Display Router Box manufactured by Bently Nevada. The Display shows 3500 data on a typical color VGA monitor using "Touch Screen" technology. The VGA module and its I/O card, as well as the VGA display monitor, are the two parts of this device. With normal cabling, the display monitor can be positioned up to 8 meters (25 feet) from the rack. hrough the 3500 Rack Configuration Software, users can set the language and kind of VGA display for the modules. The operator has control over the presented data because all other data setups are carried out directly at the display. Nine unique screens can be locally configured by users.

Features:

1. For instance, one custom screen might display all 1X measurements while another might display all gaps. Alternatively, the custom screens might be grouped by train. All system data can be arranged by users into any defined sets and then allocated to a unique screen.

2. Additionally available is an API-670 compliant screen. A 3300 view of the rack is comparable to this screen. An additional viewing function is available when choosing the Display Router Box. With this capability, customers can monitor up to four racks on a single display. The rack address and alarm status of each rack are always shown in the upper right corner of the screen, however, each rack must be viewed separately.

Display Monitors:

1. Bently Nevada provides five approved display monitor types, the only ones that will properly interface with the modules. Each display is designed to meet the needs of a specific application. It is critical that you make the correct choice for your application.

2. All display types require a hood to block direct sunlight for outdoor installations. Each display necessitates its own power supply. The KVM Extender can be selected as an option for remote sites up to 305 m away (1000 ft).

3. While the KVM Extender will meet the majority of viewing needs, it will degrade image quality and may be affected by noisy environments. As a result, unless the standard cable length is insufficient, you should avoid using the KVM Extender. Touch Screens are used in all display monitors. Because the Touch Screen controllers differ, each display monitor type must be configured using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software.

4. The Display Router Box allows up to four 3500 racks to drive a single display. The Display Router Box functions as a switch box, allowing the operator to switch between racks. The ability of the Display Router Box to display the alarm and OK status of each connected rack is an important feature.
