Functional Description

3500/42M 176449-02 is a Proximitor/Seismic Monitor developed by Bently Nevada. It is a part of 3500/42M Proximitor/Seismic Monitor system. The Proximitor/Seismic Monitor takes input from proximity and seismic transducers, qualifies the signal to provide various vibrations and location measurements, and compares the conditioned signals to user-programmable alarms.

The 3500/42M Proximitor Seismic Monitor:

1. Protects machinery by continuously comparing monitored parameters against configured alarm setpoints to drive alarms.

Communicates essential machine information to both operations and maintenance personnel.

Using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software, the user can program each channel of the 3500/42M to execute any of the following functions:

1. Radial Vibration

2. Thrust Position

3. Differential Expansion

4. Eccentricity

5. REBAM

6. Acceleration

7. Velocity

8. Shaft Absolute

9. Circular Acceptance Region

Each channel, depending on configuration, typically conditions its input signal to generate various parameters called static values. You can configure alert setpoints for each active static value and danger setpoints for any two of the active static values.
